If you play a sport, any sport, chances are there's a league (or two) for it here in Holland, Michigan. Because with adult and youth recreational programs happening all year-round, it's easy to stay active and have fun when you're living in Tulip City, USA.

What’s your idea of leisure time? Aerobics and a light workout? A morning stroll on the Wellness Trail? Playing the back nine on one of our local golf courses? Whatever you do for leisure, chances are, you’re not alone in Holland. That’s probably because we Hollanders are as good at hardly working as we are at working hard. And for those 50 and older, the perfect leisure hangout spot is Evergreen Commons. Designed for folks in or nearing their retirement years, it’s one of our town’s standout facilities.

Care for a swim?

With six pools, over one million gallons of water and a fantastic play area for the kids, Holland's Aquatic Center. is another example of Holland’s love of water. And so is Holland's outdoor swimming option, Bouws Pool.

I want to ride my bicycle.

To call the Greater Holland area bicycle friendly would be a very severe understatement. With over 150 miles of paved trails and separate-use bike paths, the options are nearly endless for taking your two-wheeler for a nice little spin.

Holland's Outdoor Discovery Center gives people, young and old, from all walks of life the chance to get out and explore the Great Outdoors. With activities and programs year-round for all ages, the wonderful nonprofit connects people with nature through outdoor education for the benefit of wildlife and the conservation of the natural world.
